Heather has served as a Ministry Assistant at the TBMB for 23 years. She works in the area of Volunteer Missions, Church Secretaries and Worship and Music. Heather is also a member of the Tennessee Baptist Secretaries Association, where she serves as the Liaison between TBMB and TBSA.

Julia is currently serving as Administrative Assistant and Financial Secretary at Leawood East Baptist Church, Cordova, since October 2014. Before that she served at the Mid-South Baptist Association as WMU ministry assistant from March 2002-March 2015. She is also active in the Mid-South Baptist Association Woman’s Missionary Union and serves as Director and serves as site coordinator for Mid-South Christian Women’s Job Corps teaching life/job skills and mentoring. Julia now serves as an officer on the Tennessee Baptist Secretaries Association as Vice-President.

Sheilan Runnels serves as the Ministry Assistant for First Baptist Lake Alfred (FL), answering the call in May 2005. She has been a member of NAMA for many years and earned her Lifeway Certified Ministry Assistant designation in 2011 and then received her certification for Financial Ministry Assistant in 2015 at the biennial NAMA conference.
As the Ministry Assistant at First Baptist Lake Alfred, Sheilan performs a variety of tasks which include acting as office manager, financial secretary, and administrative assistant. She also volunteers by planning and preparing the Wednesday night meals, serving and preparing the meals each year at VBS for children and adult workers, and for any youth or children’s ministry fundraising events.

Amanda has been serving as the Financial Secretary for First Baptist Dayton (TN) for 10 years and the Tennessee Valley Association of Baptists for 8 years. She also handles the financials for Biblical Insights Ministry in Pikeville, TN. She is active in the Women’s Ministry at her church and volunteers with organizations in her community. Amanda also currently serves as an officer in the Tennessee Baptist Secretaries Association as the East Tennessee Representative and served as the President in 2020-2022.

Cheryl has been a ministry assistant at the Kentucky Baptist Convention for 15 years. She is the Liaison to ministry assistants/secretaries throughout the KY Baptist churches. She also works with their National Convention, planning everything. Other ministry assistants in the Convention come to her for help, although she is not their supervisor.
