WHO WE ARE

The National Association of Ministry Assistants (NAMA, formerly NASBS) is a non-profit organization, organized and existing under the laws of the state of Tennessee. We are under the umbrella of the Southern Baptist Convention.

We invite all secretaries and other office personnel engaged vocationally in Southern Baptist churches or denominationally related offices, or retired from such offices, to be members of NAMA, upon payment of dues. Associate membership may be extended to secretaries and other office personnel serving other denominations. Upon payment of dues, associate members shall enjoy all privileges of membership except the right to serve as officers.

 

 

Ministry assistants from any size office are encouraged to join. There is something for everyone!

 

 

 

MEMBERSHIP

Who is eligible for membership in The National Association of Ministry Assistants?

Office personnel (active or retired) from Southern Baptist churches, local associations, state conventions, and denominational institutions and agencies can be a member of NAMA. Office personnel from other denominations can also join as an associate member.

How much does it cost to join?

New Members Dues - $30.00

Renewal Dues - $25.00

Retiree Renewal Dues - $10.00

 

When do I need to join or pay my dues?

The dues are payable on January 1st of each calendar year.
Memberships run from January 1st through December 31st of each calendar year. If you forget to get your dues paid in January you may send them in anytime during the year. Your dues must be renewed yearly. Please note that if you skip a year paying dues, you will need to pay the new member price. 

 

Memberships are non transferable.
(i.e. If a ministry assistant leaves their position, membership does not transfer to the new ministry assistant, etc.)

How do I become a member of NAMA?

You can join NAMA two ways --
